PowerGrid Projects (PGP) is proud to sponsor the ‘Inspiring Others’ category at this year’s British Weightlifting Championships Annual Achievement Awards.

Held once a year, the British Championships is the pinnacle of UK weightlifting — where the nation’s top-ranked athletes compete for the ultimate title: British Champion. The 2025 edition takes place 11–13 July at the NEC Birmingham, as part of the wider Strength in Depth event, showcasing unparalleled strength, technique, and determination.

The ‘Inspiring Others’ award recognises an individual who has made a meaningful impact on the sport—motivating those around them through their actions, resilience, or journey. This year’s nominees are Chris Murray, Zoe Chandler, and Benedict Millson. The winner will be announced live during competition on Saturday 12 July.

PGP’s Jenny Tong, former record-holder and British Champion, will be competing in the Women’s Under 53kg category. Additionally, Thomas Barber will be in attendance. Both look forward to celebrating the extraordinary talent and spirit on display.
